StopWatch presents... the RAW festival 2022
Inviting you to our upcoming event taking place on 3-4 December in London
Dear StopWatchers,
We hope you don’t mind us emailing in addition to the regular monthly newsletter, but we have some very exciting news about an upcoming event that we’d love for you to attend… our annual Rights And Wellbeing (RAW) event will take place on 3-4 December, at Bolney Community Centre in Vauxhall, London!
Last year was the summit, this year is a festival
As you know, Black and Ethnic Minority communities as well as other impacted individuals have disproportionately experienced stop and search and police violence for decades, with many experiencing high levels of distress, resulting in physical and psychological trauma.
RAW was created to promote resistance and resilience through a dual focus on Rights and Wellbeing with a focus on recovery and self-affirmation.
With a great lineup of contributors covering a range of stop and search related topics, we’re sure that this event will be our most rewarding yet!
Sessions will include, yoga, singing therapy, rights and resilience training, a stop and search parents’ forum, entertainment from poets and musicians, and more.
For more information you can visit our website, where you can download your copy of the RAW booklet and book a free ticket to confirm your attendance to any of the sessions in advance.
You can also follow us on the socials where you can hear from some of the presenters and performers about their sessions.
Please do share with your networks and anyone you think may be interested in coming along, and we’ll look forward to seeing you all at RAW!
Thank you,
StopWatch.
